Mexico is without a doubt a culinary paradise where the ancestral meets the modern in a million amazing ways. Its cuisine is filled with unique and complex flavor combinations representing the country’s infinitely rich culture and history that has been kept alive and passed down through generations.
Jacaranda Bakery pays a loving homage to Mexico, trying to encapsulate in a cupcake the essence of one of the most poetic, intricate and beautiful countries in the world.
The branding for the bakery was inspired by Jacarandas, a tree that blooms with beautiful purple flowers during spring and paints Mexico City´s skyline and streets. The overall aesthetic for the project was romantic and delicate yet simple, letting the cupcakes take center stage.Branding, Graphic Design, Web Design2012 -

With the sudden boom of infographics, I chose to do my take on it and turn an otherwise conventional recipe into something fun and visually interesting, giving it a "blueprint" type of look.Culinary Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration2012 -
The Oceanic Preservation Society is dedicated to inform the public about critical issues pertaining to our Ocean through film. Their most notable project is the Oscar winning documentary “The Cove”.
The key issues they focus on are:
• Mass Species Extinction
• Ocean Acidification
• Mercury in Seafood
• Underwater Noise Pollution
• Whaling
• Marine Mammals in Captivity
• Dolphin Slaughter in Taiji
I chose a shell as the key element in my logo because shells guard something unique and precious within them, something very valuable that requires a lot of care, something that took ages to form but can be destroyed in seconds. The ocean is that precious gem we all must care for, without it all life on earth will perish, something that took billions of years in the making is being destroyed by us in a matter of centuries. The Oceanic Preservation Society is here to help stop this destruction, acting as a protective shell to guard our precious ocean.Branding, Graphic Design, Typography2012 -
One of my favorite assignments for Digital Layout class. The project consisted of researching design agencies that interested us, contacting them, interviewing someone within the creative or art department and then writing about that interview. I chose to interview Will Miller at Firebelly Design because they claimed to do "Sustainable Design" and sustainability has always been a personal interest.
The layout I chose for this project plays with the concept of sustainability being a reality or a myth within the design community. Is it possible to do sustainable design or will it all inevitably end up as landfill?Editorial Design, Graphic Design, Typography2012 -
